Michael Agosta
Board Member
Michael was elected to the Logan Elm Board of Education in November 2023, and took the oath of office on January 8, 2024.
Michael has lived in the Logan Elm School district with his wife Angela since 1992. He was a previous member of Logan Elm School Board for 8 years. Michael is currently serving on the Buildings and Grounds and Finance Committees along with being the Logan Elm JEDD Representative.
He completed an associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Hocking College, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Franklin University. He is currently employed by PHPK Technologies, Columbus, Ohio, as V.P. of Engineering and General Manager.
In addition to being a Pickaway County Fellow he serves on the Ohio Retail Food Safety Advisory Council (RFSAC). He is a past president and coach for Logan Elm Youth Football, served as Treasurer for the Washington Elementary PTO, and has coached youth basketball and baseball.
Michael and Angela have three children. Adam, graduating in 2014 from Logan Elm, completed an Electrical Engineering Degree from the Ohio State University while enrolled in the Navy ROTC program. Adam is now a commissioned officer and pilot in the United States Navy. Matthew and Rachel both graduated from Logan Elm in 2017. Matthew completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering while running Cross Country for Ohio University. Matthew is currently employed by a defense contractor in San Diego California. Rachel completed an Integrated Math Degree at Ohio University and is now teaching high school math for, and living in, the City of Chicago.
Michael is proud to have been a part of passing the bond issue for the new school while serving on the Board. He believes in and stresses the value of education, not only to his children but to all students he comes into contact with. He emphasizes that learning is a never-ending lifelong process. While helping build the framework for student success he also uses his business experience to deliver value to the taxpayer while keeping the school district financially sound.
