Please see the link below for detailed information regarding our annual College Credit Plus meeting from last night.

December 12th

Next Thursday, December 12th, is a big evening at Logan Elm MS/HS! Please join us for a fun and informative evening and spend time with your child’s teachers. The following events will take place:

3:00–6:00 PM: Parent/Teacher Conferences - Open house for all 6-12 families.

4:00–6:00 PM: “Hidden In Plain Sight” – A community awareness program designed to educate parents and guardians about the signs of risky teen behavior. The program features a simulated teenager’s bedroom, where various items that might indicate vaping, substance use, or other risky behaviors are hidden in plain view. Participants are invited to explore the room and identify these items, which can include anything from drug paraphernalia to everyday objects that have been repurposed for concealment. Sponsored by Logan Elm MS/HS, Pickaway County Public Health, and the Pickaway Addiction Action Coalition.

5:00–6:00 PM: Mandatory College/Credit Plus Meeting for the 2025-2026 school year. This meeting will be held in the McDowell Auditorium.

5:00–6:00 PM: Financial Aid Workshop (FAFSA Meeting) – This meeting is for any post-secondary-bound senior families. The meeting will begin in the MS/HS Media Center.

6:30–8:00 PM: MS/HS Band Concert in the Cafetorium. The schedule is as follows:
  • 6th grade concert: 6:30 PM
  • 7th/8th grade concert: 7:00 PM
  • High School concert: 7:30 PM

Pickup and Dropoff Reminders

Families,
We like to remind everyone of the pickup and drop off procedures.

            1. Please enter near the baseball field and turn right as you exit from the front parking lot.

            2. Additionally, please have your child exit the vehicle during drop off once you reach the sidewalk in the parking lot.  This allows for                       more consistent traffic flow.

Anxious Generation Book Discussion

A group of 13 parents, community members, and staff met last night to discuss the book Anxious Generation and how its insights apply to both our students and our own children at home. The conversation lasted over an hour and provided valuable insights into the struggles we face as parents and as individuals navigating an increasingly digital world.  The attached article provides insights into our discussion.
